SAFETY AND WARNINGS Inapproprate use of ths product may cause property or bodly njury. Check surroundngs on all sdes before usng the desk. Body parts and property can be crushed f trapped between an mmoble obstacle and the desk s range of moton. Ensure the length of power cords are accounted for when operatng the desk. Montors, computers, speakers, anythng wth a cord that s not long enough for the desk s range of moton could be pulled down or have ts wres broken. Items pulled off the desk may cause other tems to fall. Please provde ths operaton to any users, nstallers, or support personnel operatng the product.. USAGE Ths heght adjustable desk has an electrc motor and s desgned for use n dry work areas only. The desk heght s adjustable so that t can be postoned at the most ergonomcally sutable heght. These desks are desgned only for the purposes ncluded n ths manual. They should not be used n envronments wth hgh humdty or dampness. Any other use s at user s rsk. Do not move around, crawl or le under the desk frame. Do not st or stand on the desk frame. Chldren should never use the desk unless they are supervsed by adults. Lablty: Under no crcumstances does the manufacturer accept warranty clams or lablty clams for damages caused from mproper use or handlng of the desk frame other than that whch s descrbed n ths operaton manual.. SETUP AND INSTALLATION Once the desk has been assembled, adjust the feet so that the desk s level and does not shft ts poston. After ths, connect the desk to the 0v outlet and the desk s ready for use. Check that no cables can get jammed. Choose a placement for the desk that s a safe dstance from wndow frames, radators, furnture etc. so that people do not get stuck or trapped by the desk. Do not place any objects that are taller than 0 underneath the desk. After t has been assembled, when movng the desk, DO NOT lft the desk by the desktop. Lftng ths way can stress the fasteners connectng the desk base to the desktop. Lower the desk completely and lft the desk by grabbng the top of the desk base or by removng the desktop frst. . Use a padded or carpeted area for assembly to avod damage. For ease and safety, we recommend two people for assembly. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS A. Lay out all components and hardware to ensure that you have all the components and hardware lsted on the parts page. Place four () self-adhesve Adhesve Pads (Part #) on each of the four () Zero Crossbar Brackets (Part #) as shown. B. Place each Zero Crossbar Bracket (Part #) on the undersde of the desktop. Carefully measure from all sdes and attach the Zero Crossbar Brackets (Part #) to the undersde of the desktop wth twenty-four () Pan Head Screws (Part #0), sx () per bracket. 0 Double-check that the wood screws are not too long for the desktop and won t puncture the surface when screwed all the way n. We reccomend that you pre-drll any holes needed for fasteners connectng the Brackets (Part #) to the undersde of the desktop (f your desktop s not pre-drlled). Never use countersunk screws C. Usng the suppled allen wrench, nsert four () Machne Screws (Part #) through the holes n each Zero Crossbar Bracket (Part #) gong nto the Leg (Part #) and rotate each screw just a few turns. When all machne screws are threaded, go back and tghten all four (). D. Attach the four () Small Feet (Part #) to the four () Legs (Part #), each wth four () Machne Screws (Part #). F. Usng the wres, connect the Legs (part #) to the Control boxes (part #) and the Keypad (part #) as per the dagram below. Make sure that the Keypad (Part #) s plugged nto the Control Box labeled A. Do ths so you can place the Keypad and Control Box n such a way so that the cables can reach them. 8 E. Attach the Control Boxes (Part #) to the undersde of the desktop usng two () Mx Screws (part #) per Control Box. Ensure enough clearance at the wre ports for cable connectons. Ensure the parts are close enough to that the CB Cable (Part #8) can reach the parts located on the long sde of each control box. A B Place the Keypad (Part #) so that the front of the Keypad s flush wth the front desktop edge (or recessed up to /8 ). The Keypad may be placed anywhere along the front edge of the desktop but we reccomend placng t toward an end so t does not nterfere wth the chars when seated. Use two () Mx Screws (part #) to the desktop. Use the adhesve-backed Cable Clps (Part #) to secure the Connectng Wres, so they don t sag. We reccomend that you pre-drll any holes needed for fasteners connectng the Control Boxes (Part #) or Keypad (Part #) to the desktop (of your desktop s not pre-drlled). Never use countersunk screws. Double-check that the wood screws are not too long for the desktop and won t puncture the surface when screwed all the way n. Do not overtghten screws n ths step. Overtghtenng could cause damage to the components. G. Turn the assembled desk rght-sde-up. Wth two people, grab the desk by the base (not the desktop) and turn the desk rght-sde up. Adjust the Levelng Studs on the Feet (Part #) as needed. MAKE SURE NO OBSTACLES ARE IN THE DESK S PATH. MAKE SURE ALL CORDS ARE OF A LENGTH THAT WILL ACCOMMODATE THE CHANGE IN HEIGHT. H. Plug the Power Cord nto a 0v outlet. IMPORTANT You must RESET the desk pror to use Press and hold the DOWN button on the Keypad untl the desk reaches ts lowest heght. Release the DOWN button. Press and hold the DOWN button agan untl the LED dsplay reads RST or about 0 seconds on non-led handset models. Release the DOWN button. Press and hold the DOWN button agan untl the desk lowers a lttle bt more, slghtly rses and stops. Release the DOWN button. Your desk s now ready to use. 8 To program up to four presets: Use the up/down buttons to fnd a desred heght, then press M followed by a number. . TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Heght Range. -. TROUBLESHOOTING --Reset Instructons-- If experencng error messages showng on the keypad or no response when tryng to rase or lower: Unplug the power cord and hold the down key for 0 seconds. Plug the power cord back n. Press and hold the DOWN button on the Keypad untl the desk reaches ts lowest heght. Release the DOWN button. Press and hold the DOWN button agan untl the LED dsplay reads RST or about 0 seconds on non-led handset models. Release the DOWN button. Press and hold the DOWN button agan untl the desk lowers a lttle bt more, slghtly rses and stops. Release the DOWN button. Your desk s now ready to use. The keypad wll then dsplay the current heght, and you should be able to operate t now. You may need to do ths f the desktop s ever unplugged or loses power. If the handset dsplays error messages Er thru Er, confrm that all wred connectons are secure (legs to cables, cables to control box). Then perform the reset procedure above. If the error message perssts after the reset procedure of f the heght between the legs exceeds. nches stop the reset procedure and contact The Human Soluton ( If the handset dsplays Hot, let the base cool down for 0 mnutes. If the desk seems to be uneven, try the reset nstructons above. If that does not work you may need to adjust the levelers at the bottom of the foot. In the event of a power outage or f the power cord s unplugged, a manual reset may be necessary (see Reset Instructons above) Ths product s desgned wth a duty cycle of 0% ( mn. on, 8 mn. off) Keep Chldren away from electrc heght-adjustable desks, control unts and handsets.
