SAP Note   Header Data Symptom  Under certain circumstances, tickets (SAP logon tickets, SAP assertion tickets) that are issued by an SAP NetWeaver application server Java (NWAS Java) may fail to contain an ABAP user ID or contain a blank ABAP user ID. If an ABAP system (NWAS ABAP) receives such a ticket, the logon attempt (that is based on a ticket) fails. Currently, the system issues only a general error message ( Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon) ). This message does not explain the error reason. Therefore, troubleshooting may be difficult. Other Terms  ume.r3.mastersystem, ume.r3.mastersystem.uid.mode, ABAP reference system, error message 00 799 Reason and Prerequisites  Under certain circumstances, Java systems may issue tickets that contain a blank ABAP user ID. The PDF document that is attached to this note describes this process in a flowchart. Solution  If an ABAP system receives a ticket that contains a blank ABAP user ID, the system now issues a specific error message ( Ticket contains no/an empty ABAP user ID (see note 1159962) ) that refers to your specific error situation. The problem is caused by the Java system that issues the ticket. The most probable reason for this error is that the specification of the ABAP reference system is missing (see PDF document). Errors may also occur if the option ume.configuration.active=true is not set in the JAAS login module CreateTicketLoginModule in Java. The correction consists of two parts, the ABAP correction (Support Package) and a kernel correction: l Release 7.00: Support Package 16 and kernel 7.00 as of patch number 157 l Release 7.10: Support Package 7 and kernel 7.10 as of patch number 101 The corrections are provided as of enhancement package 1 (in both releases).
