Maundy Thursday 7 p.m. We reflect on events and the lessons from the night Jesus was betrayed in this subdued but beautiful a cappella worship service. Good Friday 10:30 a.m. We come to the cross itself. It is tempting to skip right to Easter, but the cross is central to our faith. Our Area Minister Mark Doerkson will be preaching. This is a joint worship service with Regina s Canadian Baptist churches and is held at Westhill Park Church, 8025 Sherwood Park Drive. The Good Friday choir would be grateful for more support if you could help. Please come to the rehearsal at Westhill at 9:30 a.m if you can help lead during this meaningful worship service. Easter Sunday Sunrise Service 6:30 a.m. A joyful service with scripture and song held outdoors at Wascana Marina followed by a full, warm breakfast back at the church. Every year, this is a special time together for all ages. Easter Morning 11 a.m. Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed! From the Easter greeting to the Hallelujah chorus, this joyful celebration of God s victory is the high point in our calendar year as a Christian congregation. Consider bringing a friend to this incredible service and the children s Easter egg hunt which follows. Page!6 Achievers' April 27th Luncheon, 11:55 a.m. Tim and Shelley Keizer, Katepwa Lake Camp s new Executive Director Team, will be our speakers at this month s luncheon. Tim and Shelley both grew up in the Fredericton area of New Brunswick and will soon be moving to Katepwa. They are former Camp Directors at MVBC, a Christian Camp and Conference Center in N.B. and have a passion for camp ministry and the way God changes lives through camp. Tim grew up attending Green Hill Lake Camp in New Brunswick, spent many years in business, attended Prairie Bible College and served Christ in Bolivia for a time. For many years he volunteered his time as a Youth Leader in his home church. Today he feels most at home at camp, hiking in the woods with Shelley and his dog, and following God's lead for the next adventure. Shelley gave her life to Christ as a teen, attending a Christian camp. She attended Indiana Wesleyan University where she studied Addictions Counseling and courses in Youth and Music Ministry. She also has a Diploma in Office Administration and Esthetics. She has worked as a Youth Leader, Early Childhood Educator, Activities Director in a Seniors Home, and Missions Director at Edith Lank Christian Memorial Camp in N.B. In her free time, Shelley likes baking up a storm in her kitchen, playing the piano and singing, and spending time by the water with her family. She considers being a mom to her two sons the most amazing part of her life. Both Tim and Shelley have a great love for the outdoors. More importantly, they have a love and passion for God and kids. Their own lives were changed through camp when they were young, and their hope is to see other lives changed through Jesus Christ, finding hope and healing. They have a desire to see God do great things at Katepwa Lake Camp and are excited to be a part of it.
